While there wasn’t much of a crowd, the people who were visiting seemed especially interested and active with the animals, and there were obvious adoption intentions throughout my stay. Visitors were asking questions, signing forms, discussing possibilities, and requesting visitation rooms —and those are always good signs.
While there have been some good adoption numbers recently, and intake is not as busy as warmer months, the shelter is still full. It always is. So, if you get the chance, pay the good folks at the facility a visit, and find a place in your heart and home for a new family member.
