She was born on May 26, 1932 in Johnson City, Tennessee and was the daughter of William A. and Mary Starritt. In addition to her parents she was predeceased in death by her husband William H. Conant. Marylou was a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a BS Degree in Education, Business, and Foreign Language. She taught Business Administration along with English for many years. She retired so that she and Dad could travel and be with their family!
She was a member of the DAR, UDC, Garden Club, Dilettantes, Monday Club, Merry Wives, and PEO. She also helped out at her church where she and Dad were Members of the First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City, Tennessee!
She has one sister, Emily Starritt Sells, late wife of George D. Sells, Johnson City, Tennessee.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily of West Chester, Ohio. She has two Grandchildren, Bradley Stelzer and wife Adrienne of Lakeville, Minnesota and Lindsey Stelzer Whiteman and husband Michael of West Chester, Ohio. Marylou also has five Great-Grandaughters, Vivienne, Vail, and Victoria Stelzer, and Palmer and Perry Whiteman
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Queen City Hospice, 4605 Duke Drive, Ste. 220, Mason, Ohio 45040. It was Mrs. Conant’s wish to donate her body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
A “Celebration of Life” Service for Mrs. Conant will be held after the Coronavirus in Cincinnati, Ohio.
