A native of Unicoi County, Mrs. Rice is a daughter of the late Hobart and Martha Bennett Street. Louise was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her devotion to her family and unwavering belief in God’s promises gave her an unexplainable peace to face each day. Her favorite thing to do in all the world was to spend time with her family. Louise dedicated much of her Christian life serving others. She taught Children’s Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir, and took joy in organizing fellowships for her church family. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Milburn Rice, precious son, Alan Rice, precious daughter, Cynthia Jan Rice Webb, brothers, Charlie Street, Clyde Street, Cecil Street, H.P. Street, Buster Street, and sister, Leona Street Miller.

Great Grandson: Caine Rice, who is a gift from God; Granddaughter: Alise Webb Wilson and husband, Jeff; Great Granddaughter: Abby Wilson; Great Grandson: Kolby Wilson; Granddaughter: Whitney Whitson Wolfe and husband, Zach; Nephews: Robert (Bobby) Street, Roger Street, Rick Street, Dan Street, David Street, Ronnie Miller, Steve Rice, Jerry Rice, Herman Rice, Jr., Michael Edwards, Mitchell Edwards; Nieces: Linda Bailey, Debra Kilgore, Connie Brewer, Laura Wright, Debbie Higgins, Sheila Graham, Veta Mabee, Karen Redman, George Ann Pratt, Kelly Hartman, Betty Huskins, Susie Crowder; Special Friends: Lacy Church, Mickey and Ernestine Hatcher.
