Eleanor Perkey

In loving memory of Eleanor Perkey, a native of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, born on October 3, 1940.

Eleanor went to be with her heavenly father on May 4, 2020 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She resided at Cornerstone Village in Johnson City, Tennessee and was a loving wife and mother of 56 years. She attended the First Church of the Open Bible in Jamestown, New York where she was a Sunday school teacher, pianist and assisted with all church activities. She later attended the Christ Fellowship Church in Johnson City, Tennessee under Pastor Chad Hooks.

Eleanor worked in the Southwestern School in Chautauqua, New York and retired from the Johnson City school system. Eleanor loved being with her family and church family and also loved singing with her husband and daughters at church and family gatherings.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Perkey; her daughter, Kim Marie; granddaughter, Jennifer and a brother, Alonzo.

Eleanor is survived by her four daughters: Debra, Eleanor “Cis”, Barbara and Teresa along with three generations of grandchildren; 4 sisters: Shirley, Ruby, Ruth and Mindy.

A graveside service to honor the life of Eleanor Perkey will be conducted on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Fairview Cemetery of Jonesborough with Chad Hooks and Clyde Swiger officiating. Those wishing to attend may meet at the cemetery.
