Mark was born in Paris, France to the late George Perry Harned, Jr. and Audrey Ray Harned. He lived most of his adult life in Johnson City.
Mark proudly served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne division. After his time in the service, he graduated from college and began his career as a Registered Nurse. Mark was a very proud member of the America Legion.
Those left to cherish Mark’s memory include his wife; Lorie Stevens Harned; step-children, Victoria and Ashley Burke, step-grandchildren; Ansley and Piper Hickman, Tanner Lovelady, Noah Burke, and Nilah Malone; his good friend and confidante, Bill Schaffer. Mark also leaves behind his fur baby and special companion Nanna.
Due to the current guidelines set forth by the CDC, all services will be held privately by the Harned family. Mark’s final wish was to be buried at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
The Harned family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Va. Medical Center, the Avalon Hospice team, Ty Young for his love and care, Marcy Plumlee, and Bonnie Huffman for their many years of loving friendship and support.
