Ms. Powers was born September 30, 1942, in Gray, Tennessee to the late Guy and Minnie Hammonds Powers.
Ms. Powers was a native of Gray and lived in the area her entire life. She was a Seventh-Day Adventist. She was a very caring, loving, and giving woman. One of her greatest joys in life, other than her family, was cooking.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Powers was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Powers and a sister Joann Lett.
Those left to cherish Ms. Powers’ memory include her daughter, Lisa Horne; her son Anthony Conner and his wife Sheila; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Conner and Joshua Horne; as well as four great-grandchildren, Noah Goodman, Braydon Horne, Raelyn Albright, and Damian Gocial.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens, cemetery, on Monday, March 30, 2020 beginning at 3:00 pm. Pastor David P. Ryder will be officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Kingsport Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 3025 Fort Henry Dr, Kingsport, TN 37664.
