A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Wiley & Pearl Simerly Miller. Conley served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was retired due to disability from the City of Johnson City. Conley was a member and Deacon of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, Hampton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Seven Brothers: J.B., Lee, Earl, Don, Dalton, Thurman and Kail. He loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years: Patricia (Pat) Tolley Miller. His Daughter & Son-in-law: Ginger Kay & Hobert Wilson. Two Grandchildren: Josh (Misty) Branch and Matthew. Two Great Grandchildren: Malachi and Jada. One Step-Grand Daughter: Deandrea Wilson. Two Sisters: Mable Stepp, Hampton and Barbara Novack of Illinois. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2020 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thanks” to the Staff at The Waters of Roan Highlands for the excellent care he received during his stay there.
