JOHNSON CITY - Pastor Michael Bernard Boggs, age 78, of Johnson City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, a son of the late Roman Keith Boggs and Georgia Lee Hall Boggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Overbay and Mary Alice Clemons; and one brother, Larry Boggs.

Michael was the current Pastor of Spirit of Deliverance Tabernacle in the Bloomingdale Community of Kingsport. He worked for the City of Kingsport, was a Florida Gator fan, loved riding motorcycles, and spending time with his grandsons. He was loved by many and made a Godly influence on many that he was able to minister to over the years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Faye Boggs; two daughters, Pam Stewart and Cindy Carberry; two grandsons, Blake and Brock Stewart; two granddaughters, Lindsey and Sara; several great granddaughters and grandsons; two sisters, Linda King and Anna Nelms; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mike Thornburg officiating.
