A native of carter County, she was a daughter of the late N.R. & Dora Holder. She previously was employed at Magnavox and retired from Texas Instruments. She was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church but attended Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church. Eva was an avid reader, loved working in her flowers and garden and working puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Shade Estep who passed away April 8, 1992,by four brothers: Deward Holder, Daniel Holder, Conley Holder and Hoover Holder and three sisters: Blanche Holder, Oma Richardson and Sylvia Bradley.
Survivors include two daughters: Diana Estep of the home and Donna Estep Livingston, Elizabethton. Two Sisters: Lois Edmison, Kernersville, NC and Shirley Richardson & brother-in-law: Ronda Richardson, Winston-Salem, NC and one brother: Lloyd Holder, Rolling Hills Estates, CA. Several nieces and nephews also survive, all of whom she loved dearly.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Gouge officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Ryan Hackett & Staff. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
