Mrs. Hart was the only daughter of William Dillard and Rosa Bell Norman Greene. She was born in Watauga, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 64 years, E. Glenn Isaacs; her second husband of 3 years, Roy James Hart; four brothers, Norman (Margaret) Greene, Gilbert (Mildred) Greene, Bernard (Wanda) Greene and Carroll Greene; two stillborn children; and her beloved dog, Gabby.
Mrs. Hart attended Elizabethton High School and Milligan College and was a housewife her entire life and was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking, singing, gardening, reading and traveling, but most of all she loved to spend time with her friends and family. She was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton and East River Park Christian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the ladies’ choir. During her lifetime, Audrey was a devoted wife and most loving mother and grandmother. Her sweet disposition and smile is what will be remembered and cherished by all that knew her. She touched the lives of so many people with her kind heart and selfless attitude and she gave and gave to those whom she loved. She was always traveling and visiting with friends and family. She lived and loved with everything she had, with no regrets. She had countless friends in her life that she met along the way and left a mark on their lives forever. She was loved by so many and shined her light wherever she went.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Keely Isaacs Batchelder, Elizabethton; her beloved grandson, Matthew (Michelle) Batchelder, of Knoxville; a sister-in-law, Shirley Greene, of Clinton, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Her special friends include, Pat Minor, Jim & Marty Stalnaker, Carolyn Pless, and too many others to mention.
