Teresa was a native of Johnson City, Tennessee and a daughter of the late Paul, Jr. and Irma Hope (Knight) Carlton. Teresa graduated from David Crockett High School in Jonesborough TN in 1977. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and making things for people. She was an avid Tennessee Volunteers Fan and her grandchildren were the “light of her life”. She loved all animals and leaves behind her fur-babies; canine ‘Blake Sheltie’ and feline ‘Buffy’.
Surviving are her children Amanda Warren and her husband Matthew of Verona VA and Joey Orren and his wife Danielle of Waynesboro VA; brothers, Jeffrey Carlton and his wife Becky of Jonesborough, and Gregory Carlton of Johnson City; and two grandchildren, Olivia Hope and Avery Grace Orren of Waynesboro.
A celebration of life for Teresa will be held on Friday, Nov. 1st at the Cornerstone Church of Augusta in Fishersville VA. Visitation with the family will be from 6PM to 7PM with the service starting at 7PM. Anyone who attends is asked to wear something orange (hat, shirt, hairbow, etc.) in honor of Teresa’s love for Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Teresa’s memory, to the Shenandoah House, 111 North Campus Lane, Fishersville, Virginia 22939. The family would like to thank all the nurses at the house for their kindness and compassion.
