Kevin “Jeff” Jeffers Mahoney, 63, passed away October 21, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He died peacefully with his mother by his side holding his hand.
He was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; and an outdoor enthusiast who knew the name of every bird and tree. Anytime he could be in nature was his favorite time. Jeff had a great love for all animals and cherished some very special dogs over his lifetime. He excelled at any sport in which he participated. As a hunter, it was told that he would have two ducks on the water before anyone else had a gun up. He was an excellent marksman with a sharp eye. The activities he enjoyed the most: because of his love of the outdoors, he enjoyed growing, designing and nurturing flower gardens and very large vegetable gardens. He also was a faithful UT Volunteer fan who rarely missed watching a basketball or football game.
