Lema Gay Hardin Cross

ELIZABETHTON - Lema Gay Hardin Cross, 83, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Hermitage Health Care.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Homer & Ethel Vance Hardin. Lema Gay was a 1954 graduate of Unaka High School. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harley E. Cross, February 2, 2019 and a daughter Linda Cross who died June 17, 1981. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law: Pamela Ann (John) Echols. Her Grandsons: Christopher John and Joshua Edward Echols all of Elizabethton.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Travis Tyler officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2019 in the Blevins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hermitage Health Care for the excellent care she received. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
