She was born in New York, New York on May 30th, 1949 to the late Eddington A. Dabner Sr. and Margaret (Maxine) Johnson.She attended Langston High School and was a nurse's aide at Jonesbourgh Nursing Home.
She is deceased by her husband Sanford M. Whetsell Sr., grandparents Paul June and Katie Michaux, two aunts Ettamae Woodard and Cordell K Michaux, and two brothers Juan G. Dabner and Eddington F. Dabner Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Margaret (Maxine) Johnson of Johnson City, TN, one son Sanford M. (Turk) Whetsell Jr, two daughters Pamela R. Rollins of Knoxville, TN and M. Katinia Watson of Charleston, WV. , Three sisters, Kataska M. Dabner, Terry A. Gardner both of Johnson City, TN and Quintanilla Kyle of Lexington, Ky.
She also leave to cherish her 11 grandchildren, Alonzo L. Hale, Anthony L. Hale, Au'Shon L. Hale, Autumn R. Hale, Stephanie M. and Haley M. Watson along with Raheem Hauser, D'Angelo Ravizee, Takiyah Whetsell, Asha Delaney and Saniya Whetsell. Her face would light up like a bright light when she would see them. She had 9 great grandchildren with one on the way.
Our Mothers smile, quick wit and memories of her legacy will be cherished by all. We will miss her and look towards the day where we will see her again.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the residence of Ms. Brenda Watson, 511 Robinson Dr. in Johnson City on Saturday Aug.17th, 2019
