Imogene Frances Shepherd

ELIZABETHTON - Imogene Frances Shepherd, 89, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her residence with her family at her side.

She was a native of Carter County and was a daughter of the late Eugene Pickle and Essie Roberta Feathers Pickle. Mrs. Shepherd was a member of East River Park Christian Church in Elizabethton. She had worked for Belk and Proffitt’s Department Store for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Pickle and two sisters, Doris Patton and Louise Klemme.

Survivors include her husband, David L. Shepherd; her children, Linda Arnold of Johnson City, Ronnie Arnold of Johnson City, Rebecca Gregg and husband, Kenneth of Elizabethton, Mary Ann Motychak and husband, Charles Victor of Maryville and Wayne Shepherd and wife, Sherry of Elizabethton; a brother, Wayne Pickle and wife, Betty of Colonial Heights; a sister, Virginia Dugger of Gray; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mrs. Shepherd will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2019 in Roselawn Memory Gardens with Mr. Chris Hughes officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM.
