Ella Musette Knight and Eugene Walter Knight

TELFORD - Ella Musette Knight, age 90, of Telford, TN passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Life Care Center of Gray following a brief battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Eugene Walter Knight.

She is survived by four children, Dinah Hamilton (husband John), Cynthia West (husband Roger), Christopher Knight (wife Amy), and Christine Denny (husband Larry); six grandchildren, Tina Millsaps (husband Kevin), Anna Jones (husband Tyrone), Joshua West (wife Nicole), Emily Knight, Megan Knight, and Sarah Denny; six great-grandchildren, Roland Millsaps, Kaitlyn Jones, Natalie Jones, Haley Jones, Gracie West, and John West.

Ella spent her life as a homemaker. She loved traveling with her husband, working in her yard and flowers, cooking, painting, and caring for her many pets during her lifetime. Her favorite furry friends were Gigi, Reginald, Sheree, Mickey, and Molly. Her favorite places to travel were Disney World, Florida beaches, and on train excursions. Her husband Eugene was a truck driver for 38 years so they both loved to travel and got to see several states together. Eugene passed away in 1999 from heart disease and they had agreed that they wanted to be buried at the same time together.

Ella Musette and Eugene will be celebrated during a private family and extended family service on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Washington County Memory Gardens at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place following the service.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to Wanda Martin and the staff and nurses at Life Care Center of Gray and a very special thanks to Joe Foster, Ella’s favorite nurse and friend, for caring for her.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter at 3411 N. Roan St., Johnson City, TN or to the Alzheimer’s Northeast TN Association at 2319 Brown’s Mill Rd., Suite D6, Johnson City, TN or to the American Heart Association at 3101 Brown’s Mill Rd., Suite 6, PMB 321, Johnson City, TN.
