Bill was originally from Johnson City, TN. Born May 9, 1927 to Gunnar and Anita Teilmann. He was a Naval Veteran and served in WWII. After returning, he worked with his father and sister: Anna Marie Shanks, running Teilmann’s Florist and Greenhouses. He served as President of the East TN Florist Association. He was a member of Johnson City Civitan Club, and was a scout leader for the Boyscouts. He was a graduate of the University of IL, and a member of Asbury UM Church.
After moving to Greeneville, he worked for the Park Service, where he retired from. He then began carving and became a member of the Evergreen Wood Carvers Club, where he won many awards for his carvings.
Bill and Jean had 3 children: Bill, Jr. and his wife: Christie and their son: Cody, Nita and her husband: Bobby Crum and their son: Matt, Julia and her husband: Eugene Smith; great-granddaughter: Aria Teilmann.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Jean.
He was a wonderful husband and the greatest father three children could have ever wanted. He will be missed by many as he takes his place in Heaven beside his wife: Jean.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 5-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service Friday, May 24, 2019 at 9:30AM at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00AM to go in procession to the service.
