He lived most of his life in Unicoi County before moving to Green Mountain. Larry was a son of the late Jack and Jean Barrett McInturff.
He was a United States Army Veteran having served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Larry was awarded the NDSM, AFEM (Korea), VSM, BSM, SPS M-16, MKH M-14, Good Conduct Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge.
He was a retired Independent Truck Driver with thirty years of service.
Larry studied the bible and worshiped from his home. He was a member of the NRA and VFW.
Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Keith McInturff.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of eight years, Rebecca Ledford McInturff; one son, Matt Dean McInturff, Daytona Beach, FL; one daughter, Michele Woodward (Marty), Erwin; three brothers: Chris McInturff (Joyce Ann) Murfreesboro, TN, Dwight McInturff (Geri), Benton, AR, Robert McInturff, Kingsport; two grandchildren: Dakota Woodward and Chelsie Casey; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate at the 12:00 Noon funeral service. Active pallbearers will be Brian McInturff, Andy McInturff, Dwight McInturff, Robert McInturff, Matt McInturff and Jim Randolph. Chris McInturff will serve as honorary pallbearer. Committal will be held at 1:45 P.M. in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:30 P.M. Monday. Military Honors will be rendered by Carter County Honor Guard.
