Gwen D. Buff

GRAY - Gwen D. Buff, 61, of Gray, defeated cancer and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2019 at her residence.

She was a native of Gray and daughter of Charles E. Richardson, and the late Mabel Hayes Richardson.

In addition to her mother, Gwen was preceded in death by her son, Paul Evan Barber, and her sister, Renee Denise Holt.

She was a member of Strong Tower Baptist Church in Gray. Gwen, along with her husband, owned and operated their own company, Hard Rock Stone and Tile since 2005. She enjoyed gardening, camping, painting Christmas villages, and especially loving her dogs.

In addition to her father, Charles, those left to cherish Gwen’s memory include her loving husband of thirty three years, John Buff, her daughters: April Gonzalez and her husband Anthony, and Melissa Barber; grandchildren: Megan, Tyler, Nathan, Katy, Graycee, Matt, and Alexus; great-grandchildren: Aria, Sienna, and Ryley; sister, Theresa Vaughn and her husband Dale, brother, Charles D. Richardson, several nieces and nephews, her special pets, Simon and Shadow, many friends, neighbors, and her loving church family.

The family will greet friends to share memories on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 5:00 pm until a Celebration of Gwen’s Life at 7:00 pm at Strong Tower Baptist Church in Gray with Pastor Ancel Presnell, Jr. officiating. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 am.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be sent to Strong Tower Baptist Church, c/o Annie Armstrong Missions, 1022 Old Stage Road, Gray, TN. 37615 or to the animal shelter of your choice.
