Lois was born June 27th, 1930 in Sioux, North Carolina to the late Molt Franklin Parson Duncan and Augusta Etta Garland Duncan. She was an avid gardener with a passion for fresh vegetables and well pruned rose bushes, as well a wonderful homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Jackson Hampton; three sons, Anthony Keith Hampton, Timothy Alan Hampton, and Jeffrey Lynn Hampton; a grandson, Matthew Hampton; three brothers, Clarence Duncan, Edwin Duncan, and Garland Duncan; and five sisters; Betty Duncan, Adeline Bryant, Alma Atkins, Madge Campbell, and an infant sister.
Lois is survived by one son, Steve (and wife, Martha) Hampton of Johnson City, eight grandchildren (Blake Hampton, Marcus Hampton, Ashley Hampton, Josh Hampton, Megan Hampton Davis, Christina Hampton Silvers, Thomas Hampton, & Dustin Hampton), & nine great-grandchildren.
Receiving of friends will be held Friday, April 5th at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in the Oak Chapel from 5:00-7:00 PM, followed by a short funeral service at 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at Monte Vista Memorial Park in Johnson City, Tennessee (1900 E. Oakland Ave).
