He was a son of the late Charles E. Campbell and Blanche Painter Campbell, born to them on September 12, 1946 in Johnson City, Tennessee. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church and attended the Way of The Cross Church, where he greatly enjoyed spending time with his church family. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Campbell; a special sister-in-law, Bette and Brenda Campbell.
Larry is survived by his loving family: Brother, Charles Campbell; Sons: David (Lisa) Campbell, Wesley Campbell; Grandchildren: Rebekah Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Jaryd Campbell; a special friend and companion, Tommie Holden; He is also survived by several special nieces, nephews and relatives left behind to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Larry Dean Campbell will be conducted in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services of Johnson City on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jack Dykes officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, March 15, 2019 after 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 12:00 Noon.
A graveside service will be conducted in the Mountain Home National Cemetery on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 1:45 P.M. with military honors provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. Those wishing to attend, may meet at the cemetery.
