He worked at PC Cooper, Flavorich, Lady and King Equipment and Akard Funeral Home. Bobby Joe was an active member of Southwestern Baptist Church in Johnson City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Joseph and Maudie Ethel Fleenor Dishner.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ella Dubel Dishner; sister-in-law, Martha Anderson and husband, Roger; brother-in-law, William Dubel and wife, Nancy; niece, Kelli Brown and husband, Art; nephews, Clifton Anderson and wife, Laura and Timothy Anderson; great-nephews, Jordan Brown, Wyatt Anderson, Noah Anderson, Jacob Anderson; great-nieces, Aurora Anderson, Hannah Anderson and Hayley Anderson and special friends, Mark and Jessica Hollomon, Lawrence, Delores and Curtis Harr.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to the staff at Broadmore Assisted Living and Avalon Hospice for the excellence care they provided.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Salyer and special friend, Mark Hollomon officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Harr, Johnny Miller, Ben Miller, Sammy Miller, Mark Hollomon, Rodger Jones, Lawrence Harr and Jeff Harr. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M., Sunday prior to the service.
