A native of Washington County, Mr. Mosier was a chemical engineer and retired from Tennessee Eastman Company after 34 years of service. Jack was a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church since 1966 where he served as a Sunday School teacher, Bus Captain and a Deacon. HIs lifelong goal was to allow others to see Christ through him and that his four generations would meet him in Heaven someday. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Eunice Hill Mosier; grandchildren, Jack Gordon Moye (2013), Shane Beaty Keith Moye (2010); sisters, Betty Ruth Mosier Byrd (2014), Mary Ellen Mosier Baskett (2014).
Surviving include his wife, Virginia Mae Russell Mosier of the home; sons, Emory Mosier and wife Cathy, Russell Mosier and wife Tricia; daughters, Eleta Moye and husband Mercer, Kathie Webb and husband Gary; brother Joe Mosier and wife Janice; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jody Jenkins and Dr. Gene Lasley officiating.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #245 at 1:45 p.m. on Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
