Loretta was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Bear Mountain, NC, a daughter of the late Aliceteen Anna Richardson.
Loretta was a homemaker that was always there to listen, she loved helping family and others when able. She loved holidays, family gatherings and getting out to enjoy the great outdoors by joy-riding through the country. Some of Loretta's hobbies included online shopping, reading, watching television, and doing word puzzles.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded by: her father, Jon Grover Chance, and her sister, Smokey Oler.
Those left to cherish the memory of Loretta include: a daughter: Regina Stewart; a son, Jesse Watson; sisters, Lana “Sue” Peters, Linda Aires, Gloria Burrell, Patricia Lawson; brothers, Bill and Donnie Bear, Bruce, Gordon, and Johnny Chance; grandchildren, Jesse and Adam Bowman, Larry, Rosie, and Lonnie Stewart; Great-Grandson, Atlas; as well as several nieces, nephews and her beloved cats, Phoebe & Nubbins.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Loretta Huffman. A visitation service will be held on Friday, September 7th, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
