GREENEVILLE - William Ray Rollins, 73, of Greeneville, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at VA Medical Center.

He is survived by: wife of 50 years: Janna Rollins; one son: William Ray Rollins Jr.; grandchildren: Courtney Rollins and Tayelor Rollins of Jacksonville; brothers and sisters: Daniel H. Rollins, Harrison M. (Kathy) Rollins, Sonja R. Conley, Michael M. (Mary) Rollins; four brothers-in-law: James, Leroy, William (Zerudia), and Walter Rogers; aunts: Nola Parks, Wanda Livingston, and Marie Dickerson; special nieces and nephews: BreAnda Conley, Latisha Rogers, Lynetta Rogers, Juandalynn Rogers, Tyrone Rogers, Cheryl Rogers, Katrina Rogers, Jama Rogers, McKenzie Rogers, Yolanda Rogers, Daniel Rollins, Nathaniel Rollins, and Sherika Hamilton; special thanks to VA Medical Center’s Drs., nurses, and hospice, DaVita Dialysis Clinic and his van drivers; also special thanks to all whom he worked with at Plus Mark.

He is preceded in death by: parents: Lee Ray and Violet Rollins; brother: Lloyd Rollins.

He graduated from Langston High School.

He worked at Plus Mark for 32 years.  He served in the Vietnam War in 1966 and 1967.

He attended Friendship Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12PM at Friendship Baptist Church, with Rev. C.C. Mills Jr., Rev. Carl Bragg and Pastor Valerie Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard will convey military honors. Pallbearers are family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Edmonds, Dean Barner, Jessie Barner, Richard Merriweather, Eddie Anderson, Willie Anderson, and Curtis Anderson.
