She had courageously endured cancer and showed her family why GOD is the SOURCE of her strength. To the end Mama demonstrated grace, wisdom, and love to her family and friends. Her smile and hugs will be missed by all whom she encountered. The legacy she leaves to her children is GOD IS LOVE. She never met a stranger, her home was open to anyone in need.
Carolyn loved her life with Bobby and the kids dearly. Her home continued play host to Sunday dinners after church where four generations dined together. She adored her great-grandchildren and spoiled them.
She was a devoted member of Phillipi Missionary Baptist Church where she actively attended Sunday School, and participated in running the food pantry and the Melting Pot.
She was employed by Pharmaseal and Eastman Chemical Company from which she retired. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her family. She was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Osaka, Japan on a mission trip.
