Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Wayne Mount and Mary Joyce Mount Goodson, grand-parents, Hollis and Peggy Mount and Thomas and Willie Kate Graham.
Survivors include his stepfather, CC Goodson, Jr. of Johnson City, two sons Paul Mount (Johnson City) and Thomas Mount (Texas), two daughters, Tasha Mount and Sarah Mount (Johnson City), three sisters, Suzanne Weston (Mike) of Bluffton, SC, Luanne Mascola of Knoxville, TN, Kathy Click (Danny) of Johnson City, TN and one Aunt, Elizabeth A. Graham (Liz) of Johnson City, TN. Tommy also had six grandchildren, three nieces, one nephew, three great nieces and one great nephew.
Tommy attended Science Hill High School and the Johnson City Vocational Center and was a former owner/operator in a pizza business in addition to working at several other pizza businesses during his career. Tommy was of the Baptist faith and attended Central Baptist and Harrison Christian Church. Tommy lived in Greenville, TN. for the past ten years and loved all sports especially football and enjoyed watching his favorite teams play.
A special thank you is extended to close friends Amber Crowe and Sheila Sanders who were there to provide support and care during his illness. The family would also like to extend appreciation and gratitude to the Avalon Hospice team, Dr. Charles Miller, Johnson City Medical Center staff and the Four Oaks Health Care Center staff for their excellent care and compassion shown to Tommy during his illness.
A private Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for the family at the Monte Vista Chapel once details have been finalized.
