He was a native of Blount County, Tennessee and was a son of the late Carl and Hazel Carr Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from Ricoh Industries. He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Mr. Davis enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar and writing beautiful songs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Davis; his father and mother-in-law, Nathan and Laura Murray; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Slagle and a sister-in-law, Pansy Harmon.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Faye Murray Davis; a daughter, Angela Nicole Jackson and husband, Jeff of Johnson City; a brother, Wayne Davis and wife, Phyllis; brothers-in-law, Tex Murray and wife, Dorothy, Clyde Murray and Roy Harmon; sisters-in-law, Ethel Slagle and Bertha Ford and husband, Ray; special friends, Art Potter, Jeff Cloyd and Steve; also several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the Pastor and congregation at Dry Creek Freewill Baptist Church for all of their prayers and support.
It was Mr. Davis’s wish to be cremated and no formal services. Friends and family may call at the home.
