Willie was employed at Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge for the past ten years. Prior to his employment at Y-12, he worked at Collins & Aikman in Athens, Tennessee. His love of computers and “anything” electronic was his passion. He also enjoyed fishing and barbequing on his grill and smoker. Willie was a big fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and the Dallas Cowboys.
Preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Gammon; maternal grandparents, Eugene (Maxi) Gammon; paternal grandparents, Isaac (Roxie) Coleman and father and mother-in-law, Robert (Judy) Wells.
Survived by loving wife of 17 years, Connis Wells Coleman; son, Jonavin Coleman; daughters, Juliana and Jenayah Coleman; brother, Isaac (Monica) Coleman of Johnson City, TN; sister, Tonya (Joel) Gideon of Johnson City, TN; special aunt, Louise (James) Coleman of Kingsport, TN; brothers-in-law, Rodney (Kim) Wells of Sweetwater, TN and Timothy Wells of Niota, TN; sisters-in-law, Carlus Thompson of Athens, TN, Judy Winton of Knoxville, TN and Valerie Mack (Jonathan) of Charleston, TN; special niece, Taysia Coleman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends to include special friends: Jimmy Hilliard, Sammie Locklear, Shawn Aldrich and Benji Mann.
On Saturday, September 23, 2017, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral to follow at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church, 520 College Street, Knoxville, TN 37921. Reverend Dr. Michel S.E. Caldwell, Pastor and Elder Karen Nash, Eulogist. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Johnson City, TN.
