Sponsored by the college’s Veteran & Military Student Success Center, the ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Regional Center for the Performing Arts Theatre on the Blountville campus next to Tri-Cities Airport.

Veteran Success Center student specialist and United States Army veteran John Adcox will serve as master of ceremonies. Northeast State student veterans will present the colors for their respective branches of service.

Northeast State student Frederica Cook will perform our national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner” on the piano. Northeast State staff Sheila Jackson, Heidi Mellons, Samantha Rowlett, and Tawana Teague will perform a “Sing for America” musical medley accompanied by Cook. Entertainment Technology professor Will MacMorran dons the bagpipes to perform a collection of traditional musical numbers including “Amazing Grace.”

Northeast State welcomes U.S. Army Sergeant First Class (Ret.) Michael Meridith and U.S. Army veteran Tiffanie Meridith as guest speakers at the ceremony. Adcox will close the program with recognition of all service veterans attending the ceremony.
