Mountain Home VA Medical Center will celebrate women in service during a special open house at the museum on Saturday.

“Celebrating Women in Service” will honor women veterans with a special exhibit and story sharing from local women veterans, according to a VA spokesman. The exhibit will feature relics of trailblazing women who served, artifacts of regional healthcare, and Mountain Home history.

’The exhibit will feature relics of trailblazing women who served, artifacts of regional healthcare, and Mountain Home history,” Nicole Chapin, Women Veterans Program Manager, said.

In addition to viewing the drop-in exhibit, there will be a story sharing session at 2 p.m. The museum exhibit will be open from 1-5 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

The Museum at Mountain Home is located at 4th Street, Building 34 — the clock tower building — on the Mountain Home VA Medical Center campus. Parking will be available in Lot U.
