Parks and Recreation seeking citizen input: Johnson City’s Parks and Recreation Department is asking citizens for guidance in providing the best services possible. A survey is now available at the following locations www.johnsoncitytn.org and www.surveymonkey.com/r/ParksandRec2018.
The survey consists of 39 questions concerning the department’s facilities and programs. Everyone who completes the survey will be entered in a drawing for either a two-hour pool party at Memorial Park Community Center or a full-day pavilion rental.

Library closed July 4: The Johnson City Public Library will be closed Wednesday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Regular hours will resume on Thursday, July 5. For more information about library hours and services call 434-4450, or visit the library’s web site,www.jcpl.org.
International Quilt Challenge: The Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center and Old Town Emporium will host the premiere traveling art exhibition known as the Hoffman Challenge in July featuring a collection of nearly 40 quilts and 15 home décor items. The exhibition will be on display at the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center & Old Town Emporium Gift Shop July 3 through July 28.
