Van Huss and Stout

Patriot: One who loves his country and zealously supports its authority and interests. After reading (Press staff writer) Gary Gray’s article on Nov. 13 announcing that (City Commissioner) Clayton Stout has decided to challenge state Rep. Micah Van Huss in next year’s GOP primary, I wonder where Stout’s priorities lie. Personally, I see nothing wrong with Van Huss wanting to keep America a sovereign nation in which its citizens freedoms are upheld by a Constitution of the United States of America — not the United Nations.I also feel, like Van Huss, that we don’t want the government spying on our private affairs. It should also be pointed out that Van Huss is a representative for the entire state of Tennessee, not just the local good-old-boys network, which by the way raised your electric bills while giving $500,000 to a taxpayer-supported state university. So, my question is: Why would Stout criticize someone who is doing his patriotic duty and seems to be supportive of globalism, U.N. initiatives and spying on American citizens? I smell a rat.Samuel Adams wrote on Oct. 24, 1780: “If ever a time should come when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in country, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”That time is at hand.MIKE ALEXANDERLimestone
