Brews and Tunes and Music at the Square Jake Quillin will perform in downtown Jonesborough Sunday at 5 p.m. as part of the Main Street Brews and Tunes concert series. Tri-Cities Jazz Orchestra will also perform at East Main Street’s Music on the Square in Jonesborough, Friday at 7 p.m.

Yoga events in Johnson City Join others with the Downtown Yoga Center every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Founders Park amphitheater for a free hour of yoga in the park. Those who wish to attend can just show up; no registration is required. Locals can also head to the Yee-Haw Brewing Company every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for Yee-Haw Yoga. 

Willow Tree Coffeehouse and Music Room Will Hoge will perform Thursday at 8 p.m. Aaron Wood with Daniel Byrd will perform Friday at 8 p.m. Dave Eggar and Peter Sachon will play Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by Folkfaces and Magus and the Movers, Monday at 8 p.m. In addition, Willow Tree hosts its Open Mic Night every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Other Live Music Downtown Johnson City Capone’s will host Rough Dreams, Black Star Sanctuary and Inside Voices, Friday at 10 p.m.; 1134, Decade of Deceit, Bacalou, and Aghori Skin Suit, Saturday at 9 p.m. The Down Home will feature Early James and the Latest, Thursday at 8 p.m.; Hush Kids, Friday at 8 p.m.; and Webb Wilder, Saturday at 8 p.m. The Hideaway will host Altargrave, Blighted and Hivemind on Friday at 10 p.m.

Lakeside Concert Series continues Winged Deer Park’s Lakeside Concert Series continues its 2019 season on Thursday with Sound Traveler followed by Barefoot Movement next Thursday. Tri-Cities Jazz Orchestra will close the series on Aug. 15. The free lakeside concerts will be held 7-9 p.m. at Winged Deer Park’s Lakefront Festival Plaza Goulding Amphitheater. Birthplace of County Music Museum celebrates 5 years August marks the five-year anniversary of the grand opening of the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Historic Downtown Bristol, Virginia-Tennessee. As a way of saying "thank you" for all the love and support shown these past five years, the museum will offer a special discount on admission for guests. From August 1-4, tickets to the museum will be $5. Children 5 and under are free.

Evening at the Market at the Kingsport Farmers Market Visit Kingsport, Downtown Kingsport Association and the Kingsport Farmers Market invite you to the Evening at the Market series, the second Thursday of each month from June through September. Shop from Farmers Market vendors, visit food vendors, grab a craft beer and enjoy an outdoor bluegrass concert. Musical performers for Aug. 8 include Matlock & Company and Midnight Run Band. Evening market hours are 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The concert kicks off at 6 p.m.

"Trail of the Lonesome Pine" returns to Big Stone Gap Performances of the 56th season of "Trail of the Lonesome Pine," the official outdoor drama of Virginia, will be held at 8 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays, through Aug. 24, at the June Tolliver Playhouse in Big Stone Gap. The box office opens at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Thursday performances; and $10-$15, weekends. Children under 6 are admitted free. Family Memorial Music Fest The Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, Virginia invites you to its 45th Annual Carter Family Memorial Music Festival, the first weekend in August. The festival, featuring various acts, is held annually to honor the historic Bristol Sessions of 1927 by the Victor Talking Machine Company. Gates open at noon, and guests will be allowed to tour the Carter Family museum, visit the original A.P. Carter Birthplace log cabin, jam to a tune at the Pickin’ Tent, and buy crafts from authentic Appalachian artisans.

Live music in Kingsport Gypsy Circus Cider Company will host Iliad on Friday at 7 p.m. and The Green Fingers, Saturday at 7 p.m. In addition, Gypsy Circus holds its open bluegrass jam every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CJ’s Sports Bar will host Tennessee Champagne, Saturday at 9 p.m.
