Muriel Anderson and John McEuen perform at Northeast Northeast State’s “Hot Nights, Cool Music” summer concert series continues July 17 when Muriel Anderson returns with special guest John McEuen for a performance at 7 p.m. in the Regional Center for the Performing Arts Theater on the College’s Blountville campus. The show is free and open to the public, and doors open at 6:30 p.m. 

Bert Street Music series Johnson City’s Memorial Park Community Center’s outdoor amphitheater will continue its free, four-concert series featuring a mix of seasoned performers. Tennessee Champagne will perform Tuesday at 7 p.m. 

Live Music at the Outdoorsman Wanted Stranger Band will perform Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Outdoorsmen, located on 4535 Highway 11 W in Blountville. The event will feature food and refreshments and will cost $6.

Lakeside Concert Series continues Winged Deer Park’s Lakeside Concert Series continues the 2019 season on Thursday with Model City Wrecking Crew Thursday. The free lakeside concerts will be held 7-9 p.m. each Thursday through Aug. 8 at Winged Deer Park’s Lakefront Festival Plaza Goulding Amphitheater, 199 Carroll Creek Road, Johnson City. Barefoot in the Park at Founders Join others every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Founders Park amphitheater for a free hour of yoga in the park. Those who wish to attend can just show up; no registration is required.

Evening at the Market at the Kingsport Farmers Market Visit Kingsport, Downtown Kingsport Association and the Kingsport Farmers Market invite you to the Evening at the Market series from 5 to 8:30 p.m., the second Thursday of each month from now through September. Shop from Farmers Market vendors, visit food vendors, grab a craft beer and enjoy an outdoor bluegrass concert. The Hunter Patterson Band will play this week, Thursday at 6 p.m. 

Fun Fest kicks off Friday Nine days of fun begins Friday and runs through July 20 at various sites in and around Kingsport. The popular Fun Fest Parade steps off at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Downtown Kingsport, followed by Broad Street Boogie at 8 p.m. featuring Gump Fiction - the Ultimate 90s Experience. Monster Truck Madness Beef O’Brady’s Monster Truck Madness comes to Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday. Kingsport Speedway will host the Southeast Super Trucks the same day. The legendary Bigfoot headlines the list of Monster Trucks. Drivers will be available for autographs and pictures during the pre-event pit party that starts at 5 p.m. on the BMS backstretch. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. with a post-event party to follow.
