Kingsport Twilight Alive Summer Concert Series: Enjoy free concerts at 7 p.m., every Friday throughout the summer on the 100 block of Broad Street. This week’s band is Dimestore Cowboys. For more information, visit www.downtownkingsport.org.

Founders After 5: On Friday at 6 p.m., The Keep will be performing at Founders Park during the Founders After 5 concert series. The free 2019 concert series featuring various acts began May 10 and will continue Friday evenings until Sept. 27. Hometown Heroes Celebration: On Saturday, a celebration of local members of the military and first responders will be held at the Mall in Johnson City at the parking lot at between JCPenney and Ulta. The event, which will include face painting, inflatables, balloon twisting and demos will begin at noon and continue until 9 p.m. 

RobCon in Kingsport: Comic fans are invited to Kingsport’s Meadowview Conference Resort this weekend for the annual RobCon convention. Tickets are $15 for Saturday, $10 for Sunday and $20 for a weekend pass. Kids under 12 are free. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit www.robcon.org

Lakeside Concerts at Winged Deer Park: The Lakeside Concert Series are from 7-9 p.m. each Thursday through Aug. 8 at Winged Deer Park, 199 Carroll Creek Road, Johnson City. Hillbilly Bad will perform this week. For more information, call 423-283-5815.

Live Music Downtown Johnson City: Capone’s will host Strange Gods with Hesperian and Covalence at 10 p.m. Friday and Repeat Repeat with Rhythm and the Roosevelts at 8 p.m. Saturday. The Down Home will host Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass at 8 p.m. Friday and Blue Mother Tupelo at 8 p.m. Saturday. On Friday at 10 p.m., Wyldeheart will perform at Wild Wing Cafe.

Barefoot in the Park: Join others with the Downtown Yoga Center every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Founders Park amphitheater for a free hour of yoga in the park. Those who wish to attend can just show up; no registration is required.
