Art on Main: Applications are available for the 60th annual “Art on Main” fine art and fine craft festival in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Festival dates are Sept. 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. This juried and judged show is produced by the Arts Council of Henderson County. Download an application from the Arts Council’s website, www.acofhc.org. An application can also be requested by emailing the Arts Council at [email protected] or by calling 828-693-8504. Artists must send four images of their work plus a photo of their booth along with their applications. The deadline for applications is May 1.

Arts Depot, 314 Depot Square, Abingdon, Va.: Artist/medium: Dara Stanley, oil; Darris Stanley, charcoal; Walter Wright, acrylic. Exhibit through April 20.

Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center, Townsend: Tenth annual Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival is set for April 12-14. The weekend event, organized by the Townsend Artisan Guild, offers 43 instructional classes by fiber arts professionals, family activities, demonstrations, live animal displays such as alpacas, llamas, angora rabbits, sheep and goats, and the always-popular Marketplace of Vendors. The McKinney Center, Jonesborough: The McKinney Center spring semester has a few classes and workshops left including Spring Plate and Folded Vase glass fusion workshops, Nature Mosaic and Clay Play for Toddlers.
