Murderous Crossings: Join in on the intrigue and mystery in the Kingsport Theatre Guild’s first downtown series show of the year, “Murderous Crossings.” In this Agatha Christie-style show set in the 1920s, an inspector must track down a murderer on board of a train crossing the English Channel. Including some audience participation and a couple of dinner shows, this play will leave the audience laughing and gasping. Performances will take place Sept. 28 at 7 p.m., and Sept. 29 and 30 at 2 p.m. A special performance on Sept. 29 will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served. Ticket are $10 for show-only performances and $25 for dinner shows. The performances will take place at Taylored Venue and Events, 115 Shelby St., Kingsport.
Jonesborough Repertory Theatre
The Fantasticks: The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre is bringing the longest running musical ever, “The Fantasticks,” to its stage. The book and lyrics are by Tom Jones with music by Harvey Schmidt. The show is directed by Karen Elb and music directed by Jennifer Ross. Showtimes are Thursdays through Sundays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 general admission, $14 for students and seniors. The theater is located at 125.5 W.
