The Fantasticks: The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre is bringing the longest running musical ever, “The Fantasticks” to its stage. The book and lyrics of The Fantasticks are by Tom Jones with music is by Harvey Schmidt. The show is directed by Karen Elb and music directed by Jennifer Ross. Show times are Thursdays through Sundays at 7:30pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets are $16 general admission, $14 for students and seniors. The theatre is located at 125.5 West Main Street, Jonesborough, TN. Auditions in Jonesborough: Jonesborough Repertory Theatre will have auditions for their annual 1940s USO Show on September 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. If interested in singing a solo, auditioners need to come with a prepared 1-minute piece. An accompanist will be present. Music should be clearly marked and in a binder. 1940s style music is encouraged. Actors will also do a cold reading as well as dance to 40s-style swing and tap. Bring character, jazz and/or tap shoes. Auditions are open to ages 16 and up and will be at the theatre at 125½ W. Main St, Jonesborough. Production dates are December 6 – 16. Princess Whatsername: Join the cast in this comedy as a girl who wakes up with no memories makes her way through the forest, running into many familiar fairytale characters. “Princess Whatsername” continues this weekend on September 21, and 22 at 7 p.m. and 22 and 23 at 2 p.m.  Visit https://kingsporttheatre.org/ for tickets. 

Auditions in Bristol: Theatre Bristol announces auditions for its holiday production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, directed by Steve Baskett, on October 6, 8, and 9 at Theatre Bristol, 512 State Street, Bristol, TN. The popular holiday play comes to Theatre Bristol's ARTspace for Christmas and we invite everyone to audition.
