TWRA and Tennessee Fur Harvester hosting training camp

A free Trapper Training Camp is being offered by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and Tennessee Fur Harvesters.

There will be two classes available. The closest to the Tri-Cities is at Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge, 545 Priddy Road, Birchwood, Tennessee, March 15 to 17. The camp will include instructions on live trapline, fur handling, set making snaring and trap modification.

The camp is three days, meals will be provided on Saturday and breakfast Sunday. On-site primitive camping is available but one must bring own gear. Wear appropriate clothing and be prepared to take nots.
