War of 1812 heroes subject of Historical Society's meeting

Author Bill Campbell will present “The Contrasting Adventures of Jacob Hartsell and Isaac Hoss During the War of 1812” as the topic for the Thursday, May 4, meeting of the Watauga Historical Association.

The presentation will compare and contrast the military careers of the men who were natives of Cherokee Creek in Washington County. 

Campbell has written several books about Cherokee Creek and will have his books available for purchase at the meeting.

The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Tipton Haynes State Historical Site, 2620 S. Roan St.
