Tennessee COVID-19: No new cases, deaths in NETN

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 100 new cases and three new deaths Sunday from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) compared to Saturday’s report.

The statewide case count grew to 17,388 since tracking began in March. The death toll reached 298. The state also reported 123 new recoveries for a total of 9,652 and eight new hospitalizations for a total of 1,482. Labs in the state reported 10,445 new tests had been performed for a total of 325,280.

The Northeast Tennessee case count remained at 237, and the death toll remained steady at seven. Recoveries were steady at 200. There were 30 active cases in the eight-county region. Labs reported 205 more negative test results in the upper eight counties for a total of 11,938.
