COVID-19 testing events scheduled in Carter and Unicoi counties

The Tennessee Department of Health will offer free, drive-through COVID-19 testing this weekend in Carter and Unicoi counties.

Testing will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hampton High School, 766 First Ave., Hampton; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m Sunday, May 4, at Unicoi County High School, 700 Mohawk Drive, Erwin.

The testing events are open to any Tennessee resident who is concerned about their health or the health of their family members.

Those who wish to be tested will remain in their cars and must share their contact information to receive test results. results will be available in about 72 hours, depending on lab volume. Anyone tested at the events should be prepared to isolate themselves at home while awaiting their results.

TDH also offers free COVID-19 testing daily at local county health departments.
