Gov. Bill Lee: If House Speaker Glen Casada worked for me, I would ask him to resign

NASHVILLE — Gov. Bill Lee said on Thursday that if House Speaker Glen Casada were a member of his administration, he would ask him to resign.

Lee, speaking to reporters Thursday evening, gave his strongest comments to date on whether he believed Casada was fit to continue leading the House of Representatives, though he still insisted it should be a decision left to members.

Asked if he would call on Casada to resign if the embattled Williamson County Republican were part of the governor's administration or in his personal company, Lee said, "I would." More from The Tennessean.
