The Buccaneers, who are in search of their 26th conference title in program history, posted a 4-over-par 292 to move within four shots of 36-hole leader UNC-Greensboro. The Bucs entered the day six shots off the lead and currently sit in second-place at 5-over-par 581. The Spartans totaled a 6-over 294 on Monday and remain atop the team leaderboard at 1-over-par 577. Chattanooga is third at 7-over-par 583.
Go nearly repeated his performance from Sunday’s opening round where he registered three birdies and 15 pars, but a bogey on the par-4, 422-yard No. 11 was his lone blemish on Monday. He finished with a 70 and moved to 5-under-par 139, only one shot off individual leader Nick Lyerly from UNCG. Lyerly, the defending individual champion, carded his second straight 3-under 69 to move to 6-under-par 138.
Trevor Hulbert is tied for fifth at even-par 144 and Jack Rhea is tied for 10th at 3-over-par 147. Austin Carter is tied for 23rd at 7-over-par 151.
