Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 201 E. Watauga Ave, Johnson City: ”Unbelievable Promises” sermons are from Genesis 17:1-7, 15-16. Two Sunday services on Feb. 25 at 8 and 10:45 a.m. “Return to The Lord Who Will Restore You,” sermon is Wednesday Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. Sermon text is 1 Peter 5:6-11. Jonesborough United Methodist Church, 211 W. Main Street, Jonesborough: Pastor Karen’s sermon is titled “Fast from Selfishness . . . . Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others” Scripture: Philippians 2:1-5. 2nd Sunday of Lent.

Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church, 610 E Watauga Ave., Johnson City: "The Names of Jesus: I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" Genesis 17 and John 14. Sunday School begins at 10 am. Holston Valley Unitarian Universalist Church,136 Bob Jobe Rd. Gray: At 9:30 a.m. is Youth and Adult Religious Education Classes. “Hope in Action” Sunday service begins at 11 a.m. The concept of the Beloved Community, the idea that the work toward Justice is a generational thing... meaning that we will be discouraged if we only look at short-term results. White Supremacy Teach In, Part 2 begins at 12:30 p.m. The church request participants come with open hearts to White Supremacy Teach In is the first in the series saw over 60 participants engaging in deep, honest, and sometimes uncomfortable conversation. Central Christian Church, 106 Fox Street, Jonesborough: David Crockett High School Madrigal Singers will perform on Sunday Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. This event is open to the public and donations for the singers will be accepted. 

Called Out: Called Out will be singing at Cash Hollow Church 458 Cash Hollow Road in Johnson City in the morning worship service this Feb. 25 at 10 a.m.

East Side Christian Church, 1400 Siam Rd, Elizabethton: East Side Christian will host Christian Trivette in concert Sunday, February 25 at 10 a.m. A special love offering will be taken to help with medical expenses for her 9 month old son, Ezekiel Trivette, who will be having surgery at Shriner's Children Hospital next month. The public is invited.
