Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church, 610 E. Watauga Ave.: Sunday morning service will feature a Moravian Christmas Love Feast, meditation and Christmas hymns. Sunday school will begin at 10. A candlelight Christmas Eve service of Lessons and Carol will begin at 6 p.m.

Union Christian Church, 3639 Cherokee Road, Jonesborough: “The Ugliness of Christmas Could be its Beauty!” Sunday service at 11 a.m. The Lord’s Supper will be observed. Special music by Leroy Johnson. A Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service will begin at 6. Allen Sellars will deliver special music. Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2343 Knob Creek Road: “The Coming of the Prince of Peace.” Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school will begin at 9:15. First United Methodist Church, 900 Spring St.: "What to Expect.” Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school at 9:15. A candlelight Christmas Eve contemporary service will begin at 4:30 p.m. A traditional candlelight service will be held at 6:30. Both services will observe Holy Communion. Clark Street Baptist Church, 200 Clark St.: “Christmas — Freedom from Living a Wasted Life.” Sunday, one service only at 10 a.m. Barbara Curtis and Becky McNeese will provide the special music with narrator Anne Shelton in “The Story of Jesus.” Discipleship training will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m.
