The run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. near Founders Park, followed by the dash at 9. Both events are sponsored by the Blue Plum Committee and Johnson City Run Club.
The race map, which is modified this year with the goal of creating a faster course, will be released soon. Both races will be electronically timed by We Run Events, and the finish line corral will be powered by Fleet Feet Sports.
All runners who are pre-registered will receive a free shirt. Gender sizing will be available, and proper sizing for fitted shirts should be indicated when registering, festival officials said.
At the race’s end, awards will be presented to the top three winners in each age division, male and female, as well as overall, masters and grand masters divisions. Awards will also be available for the top three in each category of the kids’ race.
Packets can be picked up June 1 from 4-6 p.m., at Fleet Feet Sports, 302 Buffalo St. On the day of the event, packets will be available and late registration can be completed at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion until 7:30 a.m. for the run/walk and until 8:30 for the dash.
Through May 18, the pre-registration cost is $25 for participants entering the run/walk and $15 for kids 12 and under for the dash. The registration fee beginning May 19 until the day of the event will increase to $30 for the run/walk. The Little Plum price will remain the same at $15.
