Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park holds Christmas Open House on Saturday

ELIZABETHTON — Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park will hold an Overmountain Christmas Open House on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be free cookies, coffee, hot apple cider, and hot chocolate.

The schedule of events for the open house begins at 10 a.m.

10 a.m.: A Christmas Story.

10:30 a.m.: Period Carolers.

11 a.m.: Children's Story Time.

12:30 p.m: Period Carolers.

1 p.m.: A visit from Santa.

2 p.m.: Pine Cone Project.

3 p.m.: Open house ends.

There will be vendors on-site for your Christmas shopping convenience. They include:

• Doug Bogart — Wooden bowls, ornaments, etc.

• Anna Bogart — Hat pins, necklaces, combs, and earrings.

• Chenoa Patton and Rachel Bennett — Tooled leather journals.

• Terri Asbury — Cornhusk dolls and cornhusk ornaments.
