ELIZABETHTON — Parents interested in enrolling their children in the Wandell Early Learning Center may now begin the process online at the learning center web page and on the Elizabethton City Schools webpage.

Parents applying online will be contacted by the early learning center office regarding the required documentation.

Pre-registration day will take place on Friday, April 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wandell Center, located at 800 Siam Road. All applicants — whether or not they have completed the online application — will need to attend pre-registration day with their child to participate in health screenings. All required documentation should be submitted on or before April 12. Following pre-registration day, names of applicants will be drawn at random, with consideration for grant eligibility requirements.

“We want to make it easier on parents and hope that having an online application and lottery drawing will eliminate stress and allow parents to get everything turned in on time,” Wandell Early Learning Center Director Eric Wampler said.

Parents are also welcome to stop by the center to begin the application process. The application and a list of required documentation are available on the WELC web page:
